Dubrovnik is beautiful at any time of the day, but the summer evening gives the city a special charm and lively atmosphere. In this hour and a half walking tour, you will stroll along the main street, the famous Stradun, which becomes even more magical in the evening. People are returning from the beaches, stopping at cafés for refreshments, while children play around their parents or feed the pigeons. Locals enjoy their favorite evening habit of walking along Stradun with ice cream in hand, creating a warm and domestic atmosphere that visitors can feel as they explore the city.
During the tour, you will visit many of Dubrovnik’s most important sights and landmarks while hearing interesting stories about the city’s history and heritage. The first stop is the large Onofrio’s Fountain with sixteen carved masquerades, followed by St. Saviour’s Church, the Franciscan Monastery, the beautiful St. Blaise Church, the unavoidable Statue of Orlando, the glamorous Rector’s Palace, the elegant Cathedral, and the charming Old Port. Walking through these historic streets in the evening allows you to experience Dubrovnik in a unique light, leaving you with unforgettable impressions and lifetime memories of the city’s beauty and culture.

I specifically wanted to take a tour with Barry due to Toon Holman’s ‘negative’ review, and his critique persuaded me to choose this option over other walking tours. For that I thank you TH! I’ve heard and read about Irish history due to my heritage but Barry eloquently and concisely summarized hundreds of years of resilience and magic. I love that he touched on the good, bad & ugly. It’s a reality that everyone should be aware of and shouldn’t be viewed as killing the vibe on a day of vacation. I felt that Barry was proud of Dublin and being Irish, as he should. If you’re unsure of which company to go with, trust that Generation will provide you with a worthwhile experience.

Keith was an amazing tour guide for our walk around downtown Dublin. He has a wonderful and dry sense of humour which brought laughs and smiles throughout the tour. Keith patiently answered all questions and added some ghost stories too. I would definitely recommend this tour, I learned so much about the city and country!

Had Kieran as our tour guide, and he was absolutely 💯 professional and knowledgeable. I've done a few walking tours in other countries, and he was by far the best. I will recommend people try and seek him for tours in the future. Hot tip: Don't rub the statue beard.

Did the walking musical Dublin free tour with the family and it was awesome! Our tour guide was really cool and sang songs at each stop. Really fun way to see the city on a clear day. Get to see certain musical historic spots throughout the city center. Probably walked about 5k in one hour 20 mins. About 6 or 7 stops along the way. All outdoors. There are at least one staircase and lots of cobblestone. You are outside the whole time. There were about 20-25 people on the tour. Note: though it is free, you are asked for a tip at the end. Most gave a €20 or more
