Had a great trip out to Howth on the Coastal Half-Day Bus Tour today with Jerry. He was informative and entertaining! His driving was excellent we felt safe all the way up and back. Howth coast was beautiful! We were lucky with a beautiful sunny day proving a great view of the coast, in town we were treated to seeing a seal hanging around near the fishing boats! We had delicious crepes at the Howth Market from Amore Geloto & Crepe's, Pizza and a Toastie from Mercato. The bus wasn’t crowded but it was very cold out today, this is likely a popular activity in the better weather. It’s also much colder on the coast than in the city so pack your hat and gloves. The cost felt appropriate for the duration with a live guide. I hope to have the chance to take another tour with Jerry!!

It was a truly wonderful day to visit the charming seaside village of Howth, located just outside of Dublin. Jerry was exceptionally energetic and quite entertaining, and he thoroughly enjoyed sharing his extensive knowledge of Howth and its surrounding areas. We are also grateful for the clear skies and excellent visibility, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

If Dublin were a storybook, Big Bus Tours is the illustrated edition—with commentary. Hop on, grab a seat up top (weather permitting), and let the city unfold like a well-poured pint of Guinness: smooth, layered, and full of character. The route hits all the essentials—Trinity College, Dublin Castle, Guinness Storehouse, and more—but it’s the guides who steal the show. Equal parts historian and stand-up comic, they deliver tales of Vikings, rebels, poets, and pub lore with a wink and a brogue. You’ll laugh, you’ll learn, and you’ll probably end up quoting James Joyce without realizing it. Buses run frequently, and the hop-on-hop-off format is perfect for spontaneous detours (hello, Temple Bar). The audio guide is solid, but live commentary is where the magic happens—especially if you catch a guide who can sing. Tickets include extras like walking tours and discounts, which feel less like marketing and more like a friendly nudge from a local who wants you to have a good time. Final verdict: Whether you're short on time or just want to see Dublin without wearing out your shoes, this ride delivers history, humor, and heart—with a dash of Irish mischief.

We cannot say enough good things about this company! Everyone was extremely friendly and personable. With our GoDublin pass we did both the Hop-on Hop-off bus tour and the Coastal Tour. The Hop-on Hop-off bus is a phenomenal way to see the city. The tour is very informative and fun, and it allows you to visit the main tourist sites. Our ticket was a 48-hr pass which allowed us 2 full days of traveling dublin and seeing all the sites. The Coastal Tour should be a top activity for everyone. The sites were amazing, the food delicious, and our tour guide Jerry was VERY entertaining and knowledgeable. It was so nice to have a real person to ask questions and learn from instead of the increasingly popular AI tours.

I did the panoramic night tour and it was good! I only had one day (14 hour layover) so had to see the city quickly and this seemed like a good option. The driver was a good tour guide (although it could have easily been a recording since it’s not interactive) with good information and some funny jokes. It was just a bit under an hour.
