This immersive program offers a rare window into Thailand’s Buddhist art heritage, highlighting the elegance and spiritual depth of the late Ayutthaya era. Travelers will explore the tranquil royal ruins of Prasat Nakhon Luang, where historical grandeur meets a calm, contemplative atmosphere, and visit Wat Niwet, renowned for its remarkable Gothic-inspired architecture blended seamlessly with traditional Thai religious design. These sites reveal how artistic expression evolved through centuries of devotion, craftsmanship, and royal patronage.
The journey continues with a visit to Wat Mai Prachumphon, home to exceptionally rare mural paintings that illustrate Buddhist teachings through delicate detail and symbolic imagery. Guests will also admire exquisite examples of traditional gilded lacquer art, a meticulous craft that reflects Thailand’s rich artistic legacy. Ideal for those passionate about culture, history, and spiritual aesthetics, the experience is beautifully concluded with lunch at a Michelin Guide restaurant, creating a harmonious balance of visual, spiritual, and culinary refinement.

A must see è prof you are in Bangkok and nearby. You need a car or a motorcycle to visit as temples are not so close to each other.

Dual pricing. Day ticket for all 7 sites costs 300thb for a foreigner and 40 thb for thai. I have a work permit here in Thailand but still needed to pay the foreign tourist price. 2nd option is to pay 80thb for each site. Unfortunately the ticket seller at our first site didn’t tell us about the combo ticket. Ended up paying 380 baht in total, very frustrating.

Just a short drive from Bangkok, Ayutthaya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site that takes visitors back to the glory of Thailand’s ancient capital. The city is dotted with temples, ruins, and Buddha statues, each telling stories of a rich past. Exploring by bicycle or boat along the rivers that weave through the historic park offers a serene way to soak in the sights, while the mix of crumbling architecture and lush greenery creates a truly picturesque experience.

My first solo trip here. Hot today but enjoyed the experience very much. I will be back with my wife. Easy to reach, though I walked from the teain station, about 45 mins🥰
