Great experience, could visit lots of art works particularly the famous Meninas by Velazquez, the best collection of El Bosco and the Garden of delights trípticos within others, and some Caravaggio’s work. Still there is lots of stuff to see, visit with good time if you’re really interested in art and want to have a delightful glance. Only bad side, museum inner personnel tend to be a little rood or incipient, yet it’s they work. At the end really good museum, experience and very good organized. Plus it’s was free after 19:00 h.
The Prado is an overwhelming place, so don't try to be a hero and see everything in one visit. Definitely buy tickets online beforehand because the physical line is brutal. I honestly recommend avoiding the free entry hours in the evening; you spend half the time queuing just to get shoved through crowded rooms. Make sure to find Goya’s Black Paintings on the ground floor, they stick with you way longer than the royal portraits upstairs.
Spectacular museum. Probably some little largest paintings and collection of extremely large paintings in the world. If you go after six and I believe this is auto the majority museums in Spain admission is free the lines were pretty long but it went quickly.
