Wonderfully refreshing waters, though a bit chilly, don't skip the swim! The mineral water is great for your skin. There are only two place in the world with petrified waterfalls, but this is the only one that has not dried up. The views are wonderful. There is also a hike to the largest waterfall, moderate difficulty.

This place is absolutely out of this world. If you travel to Oaxaca, you have to come here. The scenery is unreal and feels completely untouched. It is one of those places that makes you stop and just take everything in. The views are breathtaking and easily one of the most beautiful natural landscapes you will ever see. You can actually get into the natural pools and swim. The water was freezing when we visited, so we skipped it, but on a warmer day it is probably an incredible experience. Even without swimming, just being there and seeing it in person is worth the trip. Pictures honestly do not do it justice. Wear comfortable clothes and good shoes, and be very careful near the water since the rocks can be slippery. I strongly recommend booking a good tour and going with a group, as it is a long drive from the city and much easier and safer with organized transportation. This is one of those places you will remember for the rest of your life.

Very impressive! Definitely recommend coming here when staying in the area. I did a half-day tour from Oaxaca. Might be the easiest option if you don't have a car. Half a day was enough as well. There's a bit of a walk but it's certainly doable. I'd say we we're walking (and stopping to take photos) for about an hour. Some parts were a bit slippery but it was doable. The pools on the top are man-made and the water is quite cold. You can swim in them. There's rooms to change clothes (free of charge), showers and toilets (not sure, I think 20 and 10 pesos). There are also lots of places to eat nearby .

Road closer to site a bit rough, main entrance fee for par but there is also a small local? fee enroute. Arrived early (9am), almost empty, water a bit chilly and wind made it feel colder. Changing rooms near pools and car park. Walked down to bottom, steps and uneven ground. I think there is a circular route but we came back up same up. Hot and sweaty plus sun was out so a good time to take a dip - refreshing and worth it. Stalls nearby with drinks, snacks and trinket. Spent about 3 hours there. Petrified waterfalls with thermal pools although a bit cooler this time of year. Lovely trek down, harder going up but the sun was out so had a refreshing dip in the pool.

Absolutely beautiful! This place is amazing, breathtaking views, if you want to see all is about 2k walk, try to get someone to guide you, they are local and they know the good places to take great pictures, Francisco help us and I am sure we couldn’t enjoy this place as much without him, the walk is not easy, comfortable shoes is sunscreen is a must! If you are planning on getting in the pools be prepared for room temperature water.
