From the moment you arrive, learning to surf in Waikiki is designed to be fun, safe, and unforgettable. The experience begins with a warm welcome and check-in at the beach near Banan Waikiki Beach Shack, where you will meet your instructor and receive all the equipment you need for the lesson. Before heading into the water, you will participate in a land lesson and safety briefing that covers essential ocean safety rules, basic surfing techniques, and how to pop up on the board. This preparation ensures that you feel confident and ready to enjoy your time in the waves.

Once you are ready, you will paddle out into the calm, beginner-friendly waters of Waikiki, guided closely by your instructor. They will help position you correctly for each wave and offer gentle assistance to help you catch your first ride. Most students are able to stand on the board within the first few tries, giving you a thrilling sense of accomplishment. During the lesson, optional photos and videos can be captured so you can remember your experience. After the session, you have the opportunity to purchase these memories and relive the excitement of your very first waves.
