My son and I went out with Matt as our guide. We had the best time. Matt is very knowledgeable and worked hard to keep us in the fish. But most of all Matt has a great attitude and his love for fishing is contagious. I highly recommend hiring this guy! You will catch fish and have some good genuine laughs while you're at it. Thanks again Matt

We booked and went out with Matt Gordon on Sunday 8/24. Left the ramp and were into fish in 15 minutes. Had a great time with my brother from Iowa and conversation with Matt. This young man knows the lake like the back of his hand. We went to a few of his spots and had a variety of fish from Perch, Crappie, Bass to Coho salmon and trout. Thanks Matt and to his father Jeff who treated us to a beer and a song at the “store”.

My bum may never be the same...but my heart is full! We finished a 6-hour horseback ride with my daughter at Deadwood Outfitters, guided by the legendary Nate—who deserves a trophy for patience, humor, & not laughing too hard at how much my old body protested this adventure. Let’s be real: I haven’t been on a horse in 10 years, & by hour two, I was deeply questioning my life choices. By hour four, I was making up new yoga poses just to get blood back into my legs. By hour six, I had achieved a new level of inner peace & outer blisters. BUT... it was absolutely worth it! The views at the top of the mountain? Breathtaking. Like, literally—I think I forgot to breathe for a minute. Idaho, you are a majestic beast. The pictures we took don’t do it justice... & honestly, some moments were too special to capture anyway. Those are just for me & my daughter to remember forever. Huge shoutout to Nate, who somehow managed to keep us alive, entertained, & facing the right direction the whole time. This man knows the land, the horses, & how to deal with people whose last equine experience was watching Yellowstone. And I can't forget the MVPs behind the scenes—the wonderful ladies who make the homemade bread for our packed lunches. That sandwich hit different at 7,000 feet. You kept us fueled & happy—thank you for the love (& carbs)! We’ll definitely be back to Deadwood Outfitters for more adventure—but next time… a strong two hours max. 😅 Highly recommend—just bring water, a sense of humor, & a soft pillow for the ride home. Thank you Nate, see you next year!

We went fishing with Matt. We had Matt take out 5 of us and we had a great time. Matt warned we me aynot be on fish for a while but within 15 minutes, we had our first fish on the boat. 3 hours late with over 40 fish caught and 33 keepers. This was with 3 newer anglers. Matt kept hooks baited, fixed broken lines, poles and even untangled a prop catch. All this with 66 fillets baked and a fish taco receipt to go home with.

Thank you Lynn and staff for hosting my partner and me! We were dusty, sweaty, and ~350 miles into a bikepacking trip when we pedaled past this rustic gem. They fed us a delicious dinner, gave us a cabin to sleep in, showers and laundry to make use of, and even cooked breakfast in the morning! Great place to spend the night if you are biking the Idaho hot springs route! Just be sure and try to get a reservation
