Marine science comes to life at Rookery Bay Research Reserve through an engaging half day camp designed for students in grades seven through ten. This hands on program gives curious students the chance to explore marine life while learning directly from professional scientists. Campers will take part in interactive science and nature activities and spend time working in Rookery Bay labs while discovering the unique coastal environment that surrounds them.

Each camp day offers a new experience with activities such as shark research plankton and water quality studies birding basics and more. Students will learn about the birds sharks sea turtles and other wildlife that depend on Rookery Bays coastal habitat. Every day also introduces the mission of Rookery Bay including conservation research and monitoring of the coastal estuary helping students understand how science supports and protects these ecosystems.
