Fat Tire E-Bike Tour Kalapana Beach Road and Volcanoes National Park

Enjoy a full-day biking adventure across the Big Island on powerful and easy-to-ride E-Bikes. This eight-hour tour begins at HNF Gas Station in Keaau, followed by a 35-minute drive to Kalapana Beach Road, where you will explore stunning landscapes shaped by the 2018 lava flow. Ride along cliffside beaches, lava arches, tree tunnels, and the newest black sand beach created by the eruption. The E-Bikes make it easy to cover long distances with minimal effort, giving you full control to glide effortlessly along roads and trails while taking in the breathtaking scenery. Snacks and water are recommended to stay refreshed throughout the day.

After exploring Kalapana, the tour continues to Volcanoes National Park, where you will have time to enjoy lunch at one of the park’s restaurants (lunch cost not included). Back on the Fat Tire E-Bikes, you will navigate the park faster than cars or pedestrians, stopping at all the top attractions, including lava tubes, steam vents, and, if lucky, a view of the active lava lake. This tour is intended for intermediate or better bike riders only, and participants must have basic biking skills.
