Rock and Raft

This full-day adventure combines rock climbing, rappelling, and whitewater rafting for an action-packed experience suitable for families and groups. Guests meet at the Pilar Yacht Club & Café at 8:30 am and are guided to the rim of the Rio Grande Gorge for an exciting climbing and rappelling session. This morning session challenges your skills and builds excitement for the rest of the day while ensuring safety with expert guidance from Mountain Skills Adventures.

After working up an appetite, guests will enjoy a delicious riverside lunch before heading to Far Flung Adventures for a rafting excursion down the Class-III Racecourse section of the Rio Grande. This popular whitewater section provides thrilling rapids while allowing time to enjoy scenic views, spot local wildlife, and soak in the fun of paddling with family or friends. The combination of climbing, rappelling, and rafting makes for a varied and memorable day in the New Mexico outdoors. The trip concludes around 3:00 pm, returning guests to their vehicles.
