I had a great week at the Bundoran Surf co having five lessons and staying in the lodge for six nights. The teaching was excellent and I had a lot of focus from the instructors in small class groups and one to one. The beaches were fantastic for beginner/intermediate surfing and had strong swells all week to help me get up on the board as much as possible in the white water and to progress with green waves. The lodge was very well looked after and the rooms were exceptionally clean and had excellent en suite facilities. The beds were also very comfortable. Overall the lodge was calm with good facilities for making your own food and a nice tv room for relaxing. The organisers of the surf school were very helpful and ensured that I could attend all my sessions despite having commitments to attend to during the week remotely. Overall I had a great week at Bundoran and progressed a lot thanks to great teaching. It may not be Portugal but you can’t argue with the waves!
Always a great experience with the surf co crew. Great for a surf weekend as a group or an individual; or even one off lessons. Anthony one of the og instructors is mighty craic and a great man for pro surf tips such as how to paddle away from a wave and other invasive forces. Highly recommended!
Had a great time and a great workout. Anthony is a wonderful teacher with a positive spirit and a can-do attitude. He was very patient with me, as i have no sense of balance, and he managed to help me wrangle my flailing limbs into something resembling order without ever missing an opportunity to keep the craic rolling. He was very mindful to ensure that everyone had a great time and nobody is left out; and his photography skills are just 🤌🤌. Clearly a man that loves his job.
