Join the International Mountain Climbing School and guide Craig John for an unforgettable adventure combining a trek to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro with a safari in one of the world’s most renowned wildlife regions. Craig John, an experienced high-altitude guide with over 25 Kilimanjaro summits and more than 60 expeditions across Alaska, the Himalaya, the Andes, and beyond, will lead you alongside an expert in-country team of guides, porters, and cooks. This skilled team ensures that your climb is safe, well-supported, and successful, providing professional guidance, logistical assistance, and full support throughout the seven-day Machame Route expedition. Climbers will experience the beauty and challenge of Africa’s highest peak while enjoying a structured program designed to maximize safety, acclimatization, and enjoyment of the mountain environment.
The expedition includes seven days of guided trekking, park and camping fees, three daily meals prepared by trained chefs, fresh food re-supply mid-way, unlimited purified water, hygienic portable toilet tents, solar-lit dining and sleeping tents with foam sleeping pads and small pillows, and essential safety equipment such as oxygen, Gamow bag, portable stretcher, oximeter, and a comprehensive medical kit. Additional support includes transportation to and from airports, AMREF Flying Doctor’s evacuation enrollment, and 24-hour support from Arusha. Excluded items include international airfare, visa and passport fees, trip and health insurance, personal hiking gear, additional personal items, and gratuities for the mountain crew.
