This interactive school program offers students a fun and educational way to connect with animals while learning concepts that support NGSS standards and STEM learning. Designed for preschool through high school students, the experience runs for 60 to 90 minutes and can accommodate large groups of up to approximately 150 participants. Programs may take place at the Center or be brought directly to your classroom, allowing flexibility for schools throughout San Diego. Students will engage with live animals while exploring age-appropriate topics such as habitats, life cycles, ecosystems, biodiversity, and responsible animal care in a memorable, hands-on environment.
Each session is led by experienced instructors and begins with a clear introduction, followed by rotating animal encounters and activities that encourage curiosity, discussion, and participation. Lessons are tailored by grade level, ensuring meaningful learning outcomes for every age group, from early learners to high school students exploring careers and environmental impact. Accessibility is stroller and wheelchair friendly, and schools benefit from a convenient booking process with invoicing completed after the program based on final attendance. Please note that animal species may vary depending on health and availability, and students should arrive prepared with water, snacks, and closed-toe shoes for a comfortable and engaging visit.
