Top of the South

Join us as we journey along the stunning Kaikoura Coast, heading north to Picton and tracing the edges of the Marlborough Sounds. Along the way we pass through picturesque towns, scenic bays, and lush landscapes, before continuing on to Nelson and the remote Takaka region, where the countryside becomes increasingly wild and untouched. This is a perfect opportunity to admire the coastal vistas, capture memorable photographs, and experience the unique charm of New Zealand’s northern South Island.

From Takaka, we dip southwards to the alpine village of St Arnaud, nestled on the shores of Lake Rotoiti, before making our way through the Lewis Pass to Hanmer Springs for a relaxing soak in the famous hot pools. On the return leg to Christchurch, we explore some of the renowned Waipara Valley vineyards, enjoying a final taste of the region’s offerings before completing this scenic and immersive tour through the heart of the South Island.
