Michael - best tour guide ever ! We had a fabulous tour of the theatre along with the icon women’s bathroom! Very very informative fun tour. Michael is a wonderful historian of the theatre. He was even kind enough to give us some movie memorabilia cards! Thank you Michael! What a treat ! Yvette & Juan

This is one of those must-see spots if you’re visiting Los Angeles. The outside is stunning, right on Hollywood Boulevard, surrounded by all the buzz of the Walk of Fame. You’ll also see the famous handprints and footprints out front, which is always fun to check out. Parking is definitely the biggest challenge — almost impossible to find right outside. Your best bet is to use nearby side streets with meters, one of the parking structures close by, or park at Ovation Hollywood (though validation is only offered by some businesses there). Inside, it’s a historic theatre with beautiful details and one of the best movie screens in LA. Whether you’re here for the history or to actually watch a movie, it’s worth the visit.

Famous Hollywood spot. Very lively and busy. Lots of vendors on the street trying to sell you souvenirs, tours,... Quite a lot of homeless people around... Didn't feel as safe as when I came 13 years ago... Police was more visible at that time which made it 'safer'

The TCL Chinese Theatre is iconic and full of Hollywood history, definitely worth seeing. The handprints and celebrity footprints outside are fun, and the building is gorgeous. However, the tour schedule was really unclear. We came back twice hoping to join the guided tour, but were turned away both times, once because staff was on break, and another time for reasons that weren’t explained. It was frustrating and felt disorganized. If you’re just stopping by to see the outside, it’s great, but if you want the full experience, call ahead to confirm the tour times.
