My fiancé and I did our first rafting trip today, and it was the most fun I have ever had in the Elk Valley! Our guide Adam was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. Thank you to Adam, Hanna, Luke, Havi, and everyone else on the team that ensured our safety and enjoyment the whole day. We will absolutely be back!!!

*edited I dropped my review to 1 star just based on the outright lies that were issued in the response. Sinple math dictates on the ride back in the bus that there was only 1 empty seat when us 9 joined the large group that took prescendence over the one that showed up on time. So if the other 7 had arrived there would've been only 2 avaliable seats on the bus. Meaning not enough room for us 9. I really, really hope that people start trying to book the "luxury van" so you can get called on more untruths and the realization that usually a luxury vehicle has shocks. As for my expectations as you so elegantly put were unreasonable. I read my waiver before signing and the only delays listed were weather related. Not numbers and cash related. Simply letting people know to come later would've spared all of this. But you opted to be untruthful and greedy. Which is what all of this was* We arrived on time along with 7 other people. We were prepared eager and mostly excited nervous to go. And then we sat for about 20 minutes. Until someone bothered to come to tell us that a large group was running 20 minutes late. In my mind simple math dictates that that would mean a total of 40 minutes late. The entire 30 person group shuffled in about 30-40 minutes in waves from the time we were told 20. They shuffled around talked amongst themselves and had snacks while we all continued to wait to start our adventure already an hour late. We got a tonne of excuses but it never really looked like they were trying to get them moving. We were given more excuses like they were trying to herd cats but at the end of the trip the truth was given in terms of a slip of information they were actually 7 people short of expectation. So they were essentially just making us all wait longer. The large group was fully equipped before we were. In fact us 9 were the last to be attended to. We being last were loaded in a van and ready to go while they allowed about 10 of the large group to just sit, loitering and talking amongst themselves. Instead of boarding their bus. An hour and a half past schedule we finally hit the road. For all this inconvenience we are offered all the pictures for free. This kind of salves the wound and we think this is some kind of compensation. 5 of us 9 are loaded into the lead boat. I've never white water rafted before but apparently the lead boat doesn't get the luxurious experience of riding rapids in slow steady fashion. We have to power thru, heads down or paddling to clear so we can be in position to rescue others. Sucks but not the worst thing that could happen. Our guide Adam was also awesome. Intelligent informed and had a great sense of humor. This is literally the only reason I am giving this experience two stars. On to the free photos. The benefit to being treated like second class citizens to others that paid as much as we did for the same tour. Since we weren't "buying" pictures and in the lead boat bearing down thru all the rapids. There are literally no good pictures of us. In which anything can be seen beyond the tops of our helmets. Now I get it the photographer needs his slice. Everyone needs to make money. But taking 90% of the pictures towards the late people since they weren't getting them for free. Is basically a chopstick in the eye. So for this "experience" what we got vs what they got. I wouldn't recommend this tour or this company. It's so very disappointing because as much as I enjoyed our guide. Made sure he was tipped even. It wasn't enough to compensate for everything else. If you are a massive group by all means book this tour. But if you're only 2 people or 9 across 3 groups I wouldn't recommend it one bit. The Elk River. That gets 5 stars. Absolutely stunning we saw mountain sheep. Osprey, bald eagle parent and their young. The canyon is something you need to see while here. I'd just recommend a better tour in which you are treated equally and fairly.

So much fun! We booked this for our 10 year wedding anniversary and didn’t know what to expect! I would DEFINITELY do it again Adam was great at communicating back and forth with us about booking and questions we had. Hannah was very entertaining and a great guide! It is a beautiful area. There is so much to see along the way. Highly recommended … even in the small boat.
