This agency hadn't been recommended to me, but I didn't like it at all. They didn't offer to pick us up at our hotel and take us back; they only picked us up after the tour ended. Nobody cared if we needed to be taken back to our hotel. Also, my mom asked the guy on the boat about the place, and he replied, "I'm not here to talk to you. You'd be better off going to the lagoon." The lagoon was obviously very beautiful, but I don't recommend this agency.

I think this was the worst tour we've taken in all of Mexico. When you pay, they don't give you any kind of receipt or slip stating whether or not they're responsible for any issues, and they don't even ask for your name. When we boarded the pontoon boat (there weren't any other boat tours), they informed us that we didn't have any kind of cover, while the other passengers on other tours did have one and were completely dry. Due to the bad weather, literally all the passengers ended up soaked without even getting in the water. We asked about the possibility of doing the tour another day or at a different time when it wasn't raining, and they told us that once you leave the dock, there's no possibility of a refund. Furthermore, we had to return to the same dock several times after the tour had already started to pick up more passengers because they had just sold more tickets... We didn't complain about the weather since it can't be changed, but they could have informed us about the boat's conditions and their policy so that consumers could choose whether or not to board.

We started the tour (on a rainy day) and were told halfway through that the boat wasn't covered by any tarpaulin or awning. They interrupted the tour twice to return to the dock to pick up other people. It started to rain torrentially, the group asked to return to shore, and we were informed that we wouldn't receive any refund, nor would they offer the option of repeating the tour on a better day. We had paid for a pontoon boat with a deck. Furthermore, they didn't ask for any personal information upon payment, nor did they provide us with a receipt or ticket. (They did tell us we were insured... I'd like to know under what name). It's a scam!

I loved Bacalar Lagoon. It has various affordable tours and plenty of restaurants for all price ranges. You can visit the spas and pay between 30 and 150 pesos to enter and swim there. If you love nature, Bacalar is for you.

RUN AWAY!!!!! Bad experience, kayak that sank with my whole family! What a shame! And yet I love Mexico, I lived there for a year but this is a NOGO to have a good time with family! I do not recommend renting with this company even if it is cheaper! I advise you to book elsewhere - seriously go your way, do not under any circumstances take a kayak repaired with patches, so RUN AWAY because these are not good kayaks and the tour is a SCAM - this comment is for the well-being of tourists! Good luck in your search for activities in Bacalar. For the record, we did not have rescue to come and get us when the kayaks were sinking with all our belongings, fortunately a boat was there with tourists we were able to be "saved", the service of this company is lousy and they do not answer the phone in case of emergency... in short RUN AWAY!!!
