This afternoon, my partner and I had the pleasure of having Peter as our instructor for a shooting session. We didn’t know what to expect, but Peter proved not only to be exceptionally competent in what he teaches, but also a genuinely wonderful person to spend an afternoon with. He was extremely knowledgeable, an excellent teacher, and very friendly throughout. We throughly recommend Michael Coates and especially Peter! The price is more than justified for the experience.
Amazing service from start to finish. Came as a group got good introductions and safety discussions out the way. Had a little competition at the end. Loved the atmosphere 🤠 Nice little hut for a fire and lunch. Again thanks guys for yesterday we all had a blast. And thanks for the chat at the end.

This was hands down the most surprising and exciting holiday activity I’ve ever done! I’m still over the moon and couldn’t sleep that night from the excitement. It all started when I spotted a tiny ad in a tourist brochure mentioning clay shooting in the area. I didn’t even know this was something non-shooting club members could try! It immediately brought back memories of one of my favourite childhood Nintendo games—and doing it in real life had always been a dream. When I checked online, everything was fully booked for our dates. But I couldn’t let it go. I set my alarm and started calling around first thing in the morning. That’s when I found Michael Coates Clay Shooting—and how lucky I was! Their activity centre was fully booked, but they kindly arranged a private session for me the next day at a different location. From the moment we arrived, Pete gave us the warmest welcome. He was incredibly kind, professional, friendly and funny—you can truly feel how much he loves what he does. And let me say, he is the best instructor you could ever ask for. Clear, patient, encouraging, and fun. He explained everything so well, and the hour flew by—I genuinely wish I had booked two! My kids came along and had a great time watching and even helping Pete throw in a few extra challenges for me. We laughed so much and made unforgettable memories. Pete was so generous with his compliments and encouragement that I felt I should have done this million years ago, haha 😂 Thank you Pete. I absolutely recommend this experience to anyone who loves excitement, speed, a bit of a challenge—or just wants to try something new. It’s totally worth it. I’d go back in a heartbeat! We had an amazing time clay pigeon shooting with Peter! From the moment we arrived, he made everyone feel welcome and completely at ease—even those of us who had never held a shotgun before. His instructions were super clear, encouraging, and delivered with just the right balance of professionalism and humour.
