Absolutely beautiful hotel. Staff were so helpful. I had an accessible room. Lovely and comfortable with a wet room. Our room was very close to a lift, essential for me. Our dinner was lovely. Very efficient staff. Breakfast was excellent. A really fine selection. Probably the best I have seen or eaten.

Castleknock Hotel is a modern, comfortable hotel with good facilities(gym) and friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the leisure centre — especially the pool and spa — is a real highlight. The restaurants and bar have good options. The location is peaceful and green, just outside the city, which is perfect if you want a relaxing stay, but it does mean a short trip into central Dublin roads can be very narrow getting there. If you wanted to play golf the course is right beside the hotel. Christmas decorations were fantastic there, it did make it feel christmasy.Overall, a welcoming hotel with excellent amenities and a calm atmosphere.

*Edit* Don’t waste your time emailing customer service rep as suggested. You get a ‘copy and paste’ response 4 days later. Exactly the kind of customer experience we were met with on the night of our stay. Stayed here again last week after a great stay last Christmas. Unfortunately, the service and food in this hotel has taken a nose dive in the last 12 months. Bar was packed when we arrived and there was no bar staff working for at least 10 minutes to serve anyone. I’ve never seen this before. The dinner inclusive menu has really been stripped back to basics. The food last year was gorgeous with plenty of choice. However this time round there was a choice of about 4 mains of which one was steak with a €12 supplement. I had fish and chips both times and the difference in quality was stark. No comparison between the two dishes. Breakfast the following day was a joke. It was like Dublin airport with eveyone coming and going. There was a queue of about 10 people waiting for one toaster where everyone had to toast their slice 3 or 4 times to actually get it to toast. Needless to say your hot breakfast is cold then by the time you sit down. We mentioned it to staff but it seemed to fall on deaf ears. I know this hotel is part of a huge chain and definitely lacks that touch where your custom is valued. Will not be back.
