Skip all the parks and go to Corcovado! It's truly the pinnacle for nature lovers and adventures. By far the most animals and plants we've seen and unlike the other parks. Big thanks to our guide Christiam, which is super passionate and knowledgeable. Even the smallest details still fascinate and interest him, don't hesitate to ask him more when he shares a fun fact. Everything was well organized and prepared. Don't expect luxury but that wouldn't be very jungle either😉 We've done the 3 day tour which allowed us to see more of the park, if you can sure do this instead of the single day!
Our family of 4 (children aged 12 and 10) used Inka and Rodolfo’s company to book snorkeling out of Drake Bay, a guided hike (1 day) through Corcovado National Park to Sirena Station, as well as horseback riding and couldn’t have asked for better people to work with. We were based out of Puerto Jimenez and they have a storefront in PJ, as well as excellent communication through WhatsApp to assist in making your plans. Our snorkeling excursion at Drake Bay was with Brandon at Rancho Corcovado and we had such an awesome experience! Brandon was so good with our children and guided us through the best spots at Cano Island. We saw 10+ turtles, small harmless sharks, stingrays, and numerous colorful fish. All of which Brandon took the time to dive down to show us where to look and educated us upon surfacing. We also saw Humpback whales on the 1 hr boat ride out to the island!! The guides were happy to provide that bonus to the snorkeling trip and we were more than thankful. Our day trip hike through Corcovado left from Puerto Jimenez and Rodolfo personally guided us through the national forest. He was such an experienced guide and took great care of our children, making sure to show them close ups of the animals through his lens!! One huge benefit of the tour through Rodolfo is that he has you arrive at Sirena station around 10am to eat lunch, well before the huge crowds around 10:30-11:30am. We found this to be a huge benefit and he had us back into the forest before all other tour guides after lunch. The boat ride is approx. 1.5 hrs each way and would be considered rough seas for any non-experienced boater. We found the boat trip to be adventurous and fun, however. Thank you Inka & Rodolfo for helping make our first trip to PJ so memorable and for offering a “one stop shop” for numerous Costa Rican adventures. Added bonus - Yessy assists at their storefront in PJ and she is a pleasure to work with! 😁. I would recommend Corcovado Hiking Tours to anyone looking for entertainment while visiting the beautiful Osa Peninsula!!
We had a great day with our family of four at Corcovado national park. Everything was very well arranged. The trip with the boat went well, even spotted dolphins and a very small part of a whale. The park is quite crowded but Thomas guided us to the more quite paths and has a great eye for catching all kind of animals. He has great knowledge of the animals and treats environment with great care. Don’t forget your water-shoes! You do not need a swimsuit.
