Join our intimate group kayak tour and explore the breathtaking Arrábida Natural Park. With a maximum of five tandem kayaks per group, this experience is ideal for families or friends seeking adventure in a stunning coastal setting. We provide all necessary equipment, including life vests, paddles, water-resistant bags, and comfortable kayak seats, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey. The tour begins in the charming village of Sesimbra, where our expert guides will introduce you to paddling techniques and the itinerary. As we set out along the coastline, you'll navigate through small caves and rock formations, offering an up-close encounter with the park’s striking landscapes.
After about an hour and a half of paddling, we’ll reach the iconic Ribeiro do Cavalo Beach, known for its pristine waters and untouched beauty. Here, you can take a well-deserved break, soak in the breathtaking scenery, and relax in this secluded paradise. If you prefer a hassle-free meal, we offer an optional lunch for a small additional fee of 10€, featuring a delicious chicken or veggie baguette sandwich, avocado, lettuce, mushrooms, tomato, and a traditional "Farinha Torrada" pastry. Alternatively, guests are welcome to bring their own snacks, which can be conveniently stored in our spacious water-resistant bags.
As we make our way back to Sesimbra, a tailwind will guide us along the picturesque coastline, offering stunning panoramic views of towering cliffs and crystal-clear waters. This adventure is the perfect way to immerse yourself in Portugal's natural beauty, with opportunities to spot local marine life and learn about the region’s rich biodiversity from our knowledgeable guides. Don’t forget plenty of sunscreen and a bathing suit for the time on the kayak. You can take your belongings along with you on the Kayak to the beach or you can store other belongings with us on the van. We don't have shade on the beach so a t-shirt is always a good option to have with you.
We do not recommend taking any electronic divises with you unless it's waterproof. You can use one of our water resistant bags that will be on the kayaks for small personal items but we can not be responsible for any electronic devices inside those bags during the trip. Sit on top kayak are totally open so water comes in and out of it during all time on the water, so you will be wet on the seat area. Don't forget to bring dry shorts/pants/swimsuit so you are dry on the way back after the kayak.
If you have any type of water shoes you can bring them so you can use them on the beach if you don't feel comfortable with some of the small stones on it but it's not absolutely necessary (not a must bring option).
If you feel the need for a wetsuit (shorty)(free of charge) just let me know your height and weight and we can prepare it for you.
