Junior Zookeeper 4 A Day Program

The Zookeeper for a Day program is designed for young wildlife enthusiasts aged eight to sixteen who are curious brave and eager to learn. Participants work closely with experienced animal carers and take part in real daily zoo activities. They may be grouped by age and experience and will gain access to areas of the zoo not usually open to visitors. Tasks vary throughout the day and can include caring for animals feeding and learning how different species are managed safely and responsibly.

This hands on experience helps build confidence teamwork and respect for wildlife. Junior participants learn about animal care husbandry and conservation including captive breeding programs for endangered species. Each day is unique and full of surprises offering an engaging and educational adventure. The program also includes a special cap a certificate and lunch making it a rewarding and memorable experience for anyone passionate about animals.
