This was a great one day tour especially if you only have a few days in Bergen. The two hour boat ride was beautiful and the Flåm train ride with the stop at the waterfall made for a perfect full day tour. I would recommend the Norway in a Nutshell tour with the boat and train rides to everyone.

I took my two college age grandson‘s on a trip to Norway and we loved this tour. Started in Oslo and went all the way to Bergen stopping at the most beautiful places. I’m really glad we decided to take the tour at the end of our trip it was gorgeous!

Easy to book on line and customize your experience. The trains, ferry and bus were clean and enjoyable. Every transfer location was well marked and the maps are handy. Also appreciated the link for the luggage transfer which is a must!

We took the full Norway in a Nutshell route from Flåm to Bergen and it was worth every leg. The fjord cruise from Flåm to Gudvangen was the highlight—calm water, unreal views, and a peaceful, quiet ride. The electric boat glides through the narrow valley without a sound, and every turn looked like a postcard. Weather was perfect, which helped. We spent the entire time moving between seats and rails to take in every angle. The bus ride to Voss was smooth and well-timed. Even without Stalheimskleiva (which is closed outside of summer), the mountain roads, open farmland, and tall waterfalls kept things interesting. It felt more like a slow scenic tour than a transfer. The driver was calm and clearly used to the tight turns. The final stretch from Voss to Bergen by train was less dramatic but still pleasant. It gave us a moment to relax and take in the changing landscape as we got closer to the coast. Logistics were seamless. Every connection worked, signage was clear, and the pacing was smart. Tourist-heavy? Sure. But it didn’t feel gimmicky. This is a well-run way to cover ground without losing the beauty of the journey. Highly recommend Flåm to Bergen.

We very much enjoyed this train/boat/bus excursion from Oslo to Bergen via some beautiful mountain and fjord locations. We highly recommend not going through all in one day but breaking up the trip with an overnight at one of the scenic locations along the way. I personally did not have a lot of time to research this trip and put together myself, which is how I usually travel. This was really the next best thing. Not an organized tour where you are moving in lockstep with others and with a guide, but rather, a structured itinerary for you and members of your own party to follow together, unguided but for the itinerary that is provided. A very nice way to go.
