Favorite rink that I’ve done in Dublin. I like the novelty of the trails and getting to turn in both directions balances things out a bit better. The rental skates aren’t amazing quality, but I think that’s typical for rentals. Staff are very friendly and supportive.

Visiting the Blanchardstown ice skating rink with my 7-year-old was an absolute delight. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere sparkled with a festive, Christmas magic—twinkling lights reflected off the ice, soft holiday music filled the air, and the whole place felt warm and inviting despite the chilly rink. Watching my child wobble at first, then gradually glide with growing confidence, was pure joy. The rink is perfectly maintained, offering plenty of space for beginners and more experienced skaters alike. There were moments of laughter as we held hands, spun around, and even fell a few times, but every stumble added to the fun. The seasonal decorations and glowing lights created a truly enchanting environment, making it feel like stepping into a winter wonderland. I left with a heart full of happiness, knowing my little one had a magical experience too. This is a must-visit for families—fun, festive, and absolutely unforgettable. 100/100.

I’ve been coming to the Alpine Skate Trail in Dún Laoghaire most Saturday and Sunday mornings since November 2025, and it’s honestly become one of my favourite weekend rituals. It’s such a fun and refreshing way to spend time with friends—whether we’re laughing our way around the trail or trying to perfect new techniques, there’s always a great atmosphere. One of the best parts is seeing your progress week after week. Even if you start off a bit wobbly, you really do improve quickly, and it’s super motivating. The staff deserve a shout-out as well: they’re consistently friendly, patient, and helpful, always willing to offer tips or get you sorted with gear. The whole setup is well organised, clean, and really thoughtfully run. It’s a unique experience—outdoor, energising, and a great alternative to the usual weekend activities. Highly recommend to anyone looking for something fun, social, and a bit different in Dún Laoghaire!
