Discover Oslo from its most breathtaking viewpoints on a memorable hiking and nature experience to Frognerseteren and Vettakollen, where panoramic scenery and peaceful forests come together. The journey begins at the Oslo Visitor Centre at Jernbanetorget, where we board the metro toward Frognerseteren on one of the city’s most scenic train rides. As the train climbs higher, urban views give way to rolling hills, dense forests, and glimpses of the Oslo Fjord. Upon arrival, take in the magnificent panorama from Frognerseteren—an ideal introduction to the natural beauty that surrounds Norway’s capital.

From here, we set off on a relaxed hike along King Olav’s Trail, passing through the picturesque wetlands of Fuglemyrene and deep into the tranquil Norwegian forest. Surrounded by towering pines and the sound of birdsong, you’ll experience nature in its purest form as we gradually make our way to Vettakollen Mountain. The reward at the summit is truly unforgettable: a sweeping, uninterrupted view over Oslo, the Oslo Fjord, its coastline, and countless small islands scattered across the water. After spending time enjoying the scenery and capturing photos, we descend to the metro station and return to Jernbanetorget, completing a journey filled with fresh air, stunning landscapes, and lasting memories.
