An experience of a lifetime, memory worth repeating My wife, mother, brother and nephew stayed here for 2 nights. The experience from being greeted with a wet towel after a day of safari and a gin and tonic was incredible. THE FOOD!!!!!!!!! Deons steaks were perfectly cooked to our request, breakfast and lunch were amazing! The team here are all great and made the experience 5 star. We enjoyed our game drives with Rochelle. She’s knowledgeable and a genuine person. We saw everything from baby white rhinos, giraffe from the back garden, the mysterious buffalos and a close encounter with a bull elephant that walked right past our car. Thanks, Rochelle, Deon and team! We will be back
A true gem only 2 and a half hours from Sandton. The staff here know the true meaning of service and nothing was too much trouble. The chalets were spotless and cosy. The staff were aware of our movements and the place was services when we were out with no feeling of hovering staff. The game drives were exceptional thanks to the well equipped game vehicle but mostly because Jacques our Ranger was very knowledgeable with a passion for the job that showed in his engaging friendly manner. we loved our stay at the lodge and highly recommend it. pros: great safaries in the morning and afternoon and we saw a lot of animals. in the afternoon we had a picnic in the wild while we watched the sunset. the rooms are spacious and private. the food was great and they catered to our tastes. at night they showed us the constellations and talked about the stars (the sky was incredible) lots of animals go to the water hole in the main lodge where the pool is so you definitely feel like you are in the wild.
Loved it here Only here for one night, and that gave us a chance to go on safari at dawn. Only us and one more couple staying at lodge. Very personal touch. Staff are very helpful and accommodating. Food was lovely and cooked to our liking. Safaris were brilliant. Went on sunset Safari and dawn safari. Our guide was very passionate and informative about the animals which we saw a lot of. Saw lots of animals up close including a cheetah, lions and elephants. Would definitely go again. Amazing experience and great place to stay.
Perfect if you want the quiet and beauty of Africa. Lodge holds 5 cottages or 10 people in total. The lodge keepers We're amazing. They also do the game drives where you learn about the wildlife not just see them. Be sure to ask about the African dung spitting game. Hysterical !!!! It is so quiet on the lodge grounds.The cook makes a great meal 3x/ day. You get a choice each meal. Go there, you wont be disappointed.
