Hack Track/ Fairy Trail Loop Ride

The Hack Track ride is the perfect introduction to balanced riding for riders of all ages. This one-hour ride takes you through rolling farm country, native forests, and wetland areas, offering stunning views of the ocean along the way. The trail features gentle ups and downs that provide a fun challenge for new riders while allowing experienced riders to refine their skills. Along the way, you will ride through a diverse landscape that includes farmland, bush, and forest, and may catch glimpses of local wildlife. The area is part of a revegetation and conservation program, including efforts to protect native birds and control predators such as stoats, rats, wild cats, and possums. Over time, the hope is to see little Blue Penguins returning to use the nesting boxes on the beach.

This ride is more than just a trail ride—it is an opportunity to learn the foundations of good horsemanship while enjoying the beautiful coastal scenery on horseback. Guided by experienced instructors, the ride focuses on light and balanced riding techniques, making it suitable for riders of all experience levels. For the welfare of the horses and due to the challenging terrain, there is a weight limit of 90 kg, though exceptions may be made depending on experience and fitness. Riders above the limit can still enjoy an alternative ride along the flat section of the beach. For larger groups exceeding booking availability, the team may arrange additional guides to ensure everyone can participate in this unique horseback experience.
