El Yunque & BioBay Combo Tour

Enjoy an unforgettable full-day adventure combining two of Puerto Rico’s most iconic natural wonders: the El Yunque Rainforest and the Bio Bay Kayak Adventure. Your journey begins with a visit to El Yunque, the only tropical rainforest in the United States National Forest System. You’ll hike for about 25 to 30 minutes along a dirt and rock path that includes some river wading, surrounded by bamboo groves, rainforest flowers, and lush tropical plants. The first stop is a beautiful collecting pool at the base of a waterfall, where you can swim in clear, refreshing waters and take memorable photos. The hike continues on a more challenging path that involves climbing boulders and leads to a natural river area where you can swim, enjoy a rope swing, and slide down natural rock formations. After the hike, the group will stop for lunch at a local restaurant before heading to the next part of the adventure.

As night falls, the tour continues with a magical kayaking experience through the mangrove channels leading to Laguna Grande. Here, you’ll witness the bioluminescence created by Pyrodinium Bahamense, tiny plankton that glow when touched, similar to fireflies in the water. The 1.5 to 2 hour Bio Bay adventure offers a chance to learn about the delicate ecosystem, paddle through peaceful waters, and interact with the glowing organisms in a safe and calm environment.
