This little viewing area is such a pleasant surprise! Tucked away, it’s still easy to find and has plenty of decent parking once you get there. There are two separate viewing spots, both offering lovely, peaceful views. The short walk between the two areas only takes a couple of minutes, but it’s beautiful and definitely worth it — especially if you enjoy a quiet moment in nature. It’s not a huge stop or an all-day adventure, but if you’re in the area or just looking for a scenic detour, this spot is absolutely worth the drive.
I'll give you a little piece of history on this place it belonged to my family. We were no way rich or had money my grandfather CURLY and his brother DODGE had a boat dock there they ran in the 1960s to the 1980s. There was a single wide mobile home, a small building that they ran bait n tackle out of and had a few john boats with motors they would rent out. My aunt lily made baloney sandwiches and fried egg sandwiches for the fishermen and sell cold drinks. In the late 1980s the TVA started harassing him to sell the land to them they threatened they were going to flood that area and he'd loose everything. Lily n my pawpaw died they pressure him to sell for very little money as they do all the older generations to get that lake land. It's very sad I spent many days back in that cove as a kid fishing and playing in the muddy waters. Its very sad to see what tva does and they don't take care of it either.
Beautiful place, with a nice little parking area. Unfortunately, due to its secluded area and awful people the graffiti is terrible. It is everywhere and we attempted to look past but most of it is extremely offensive. Respect these public areas people.
