We had an amazing time fishing! Jay was knowledgeable, taught us a lot about Lake Trout, and helped us catch plenty of fish. Stephanie was also incredibly helpful. She was quick to respond, and made scheduling and payment a breeze. Everything was smooth from start to finish. We'll definitely be booking again!
We had an amazing day with Jay. I took out my 15 year-old and his two friends on a rainy morning. Within no time we had caught our limit and hooked into a 15 Lake trout to top it off! Very knowledgable and on time. The shore lunch was incredible. He has his own rub and dipping sauce that will blow your mind. Thanks again will be back.
There isn’t much to say about Jay and Stephanie than WOW. We were down from Sudbury for our 25th wedding anniversary and staying at the couples resort as we had done in July 2023. Part of the plan was to rent one of the boats from the resort as we had done in 2023 but unannounced to us and no updates of any changes on their website they no longer rent the boats out on a half day or full day basis. That’s where Jay and Stephanie come into the story. Fishing and being on the lake was a huge part of our trip and after learning the resort changed their rules a quick google search of boat rentals and fishing in the area Opeongo Lake guide popped up on my screen. A quick email to the website and with absolutely no notice Stephanie got back to me quickly and told us Jay could take us out the very next morning. Needless to say we were extremely grateful and excited. Meeting time was 6am and Jay was there on time and with a smile on his face. After the meet and greet the boat was in the water vehicles parked and off we went. Let me tell you if your looking for a guide who knows his stuff Jay is by far the most knowledgeable fishing guide I’ve ever met. Dispute the weather not being the greatest the company and conversation my wife and I had with Jay was beyond professional. Shared a few laughs a few good stories and by the time the fishing was done and the boat was out of the water it had felt like we had known him for years. Oh and he brought us to the fish. 6 lake trout in 4 hours of fishing. Thank you Jay for making our trip one to remember and to his wife Stephanie thank you for the quick responses and getting this all set up so quickly and efficiently. You have a great thing going here and we will definitely be booking through you and recommending your service to everyone. I hope this review helps you like you both helped us.
