Masca Gorge Guided Tour Combines Dramatic Hiking and Coastal Return Journey

An all-inclusive excursion through Tenerife’s Masca Gorge is offering visitors a carefully guided way to experience one of the island’s most dramatic natural landscapes. The adventure begins in Santiago del Teide, where participants meet their guide near the tourist office before setting off on a short bus transfer into the mountainous terrain.

The journey continues into the remote hamlet of Masca, a scenic village that serves as the gateway to the famous trail. From here, the guided hike leads into the heart of the gorge, where steep basalt rock walls rise dramatically on either side, creating a striking natural corridor shaped over centuries.

Throughout the trek, guides provide commentary on the region’s geological features, native plant life, and wildlife, helping to turn the walk into an educational experience as well as a physical one.
