The Shooting Star Cabin-a lifetime of memories were made on this Girls’ Trip. There were six of us and we had plenty of room and space to accommodate our needs. The location was good for adventures and for relaxing on the big front porch. We did have a firepit which was around back; we would have used it more had it been in front which would have made it a little more intimate and if there had been more lighting; as it is very dark back there, so the cabin does need further lighting to help with evening activities such as grilling and navigating the terrain to and from the cabin. There were a couple of things that were of concern: The cabin is on a very busy road which is also enroute to the zipline shuttle. At times there was a lot of traffic with no regard for the speed limit. We even moved the benches in back the night we did use the firepit due to them being so close to the road. The next morning, we did wake up to find tire tracks right where the benches were, assuming some type of vehicle missed the curve? There are only two actual parking places, the 3rd vehicle we had was backed into the grass at the side of the two spaces as we needed to make sure we were off the road. The cabin was very clean. Some recommendations for future guests: bring towels and wash cloths as you are only provided one of each, per person, for your whole stay. Bring kitchen towels and dish cloths, again only one provided. Bring extra paper towels and toilet paper, paper plates, and foil. The kitchen is pretty-well stocked but short a few items like measuring cups and a few more utensils would have made it complete. I think it would be helpful to future guests if the company listed all the amenities that are provided in the cabin on the website; it just helps the guests prepare a little better for their stay. For an example, while we saw there was a grill listed, we didn’t see a coffee maker listed, so we brought a coffee maker and the cabin already had one, but this was an important amenity not listed. Over-all we had a fantastic time and a great stay and have every intention to return next year. The staff was super friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area. We’ll be back!!
