This beginner sewing course is designed for anyone who has never touched a sewing machine and wants to learn with confidence. The lessons take place in the warm and creative setting of the sewing cafe, where you begin with a simple tote bag to understand the basics of stitching, cutting, and using the machine. Once you feel comfortable with the essentials, you move on to creating your first garment, such as a wrap skirt, circle skirt, basic tee, or flared legging. The course is guided by friendly fashion designers who help you step by step while allowing you to learn at your own pace. Classes are offered in both Dutch and English, and you can start whenever it suits your schedule.
You have the option to include materials or bring your own. If you choose materials included, you will receive organic canvas for the tote bag and organic fabrics for your chosen garment, all available in a variety of beautiful colors. If you prefer to bring your own materials, a detailed list will be sent to you ahead of time. You can also purchase materials in the store during your class. After booking your first lesson, you will receive a code to schedule the remaining sessions flexibly. This course is ideal for complete beginners or anyone wishing to refresh the basics in a relaxed and inspiring learning space.

I did the tote bag course and it was super nice! First time sewing and the people were amazing and very helpful!

Every city needs a great place like this! As a weary traveler with very worn pants and a badly packed suitcase, I was able to finish the half-done pair of pants I had tossed in at the last minute. Someone was (very nicely) helping a small class work on their own projects, meanwhile I got a nice sewing machine, a hot iron, and lots of table space to finish my project. They have sergers too. They have a bit of fabric, a small but well-stocked library, basic notions that you might need to get your project done. A home away from home, in short :-)

I had the most amazing time learning to sew my first tote bag with Ana. The guidance is clear and easy to follow. I had never touched a sewing machine before but after a crash course from Ana, I felt more confident to operate the machine independently. Will surely be back for a second project.

Took my first sewing class ever yesterday and cannot be happier for choosing I am Nold. After first lesson I, as absolute beginner, managed to put together nice tote back and learn a lot. Guidance provided by Natalie was brilliant and she really helped me make a progress. She was very helpful. Definitely made me motivated to take more classes and progress with my sewing. Also got some recommendation on further progress which is always nice. Like the vibe of the place, there is always nice cup of tea / coffee so looking forward to go back. If you ever wanted to learn how to saw, this is the place.
