Awful experience at Tesla Sandyford service. I had my car over to Sandyford for service yesterday. I explicitly requested to check tyre pressure during the service. This was not done. This should be done by default anyway, specially since there is a big exclamation mark on the screen indicating tyre pressure is not correct. Anyway, as this wasn’t done, I had to do it myself this morning in a petrol station. While pumping one of the wheels one of the valves broke and the tyre went totally flat. I contacted Tesla and they refused to do anything about it, claiming that since this issue is in the valve there is nothing they can do. As Tesla washed their hands I then had to look for a local solution myself and organised towing to a local garage. To my surprise l, at the garage they tell me that the can not change tyres in Tesla cars without the Tesla lifting pads. It turns out that these pads are not coming as standard with the car and they need to be ordered separately from Tesla. Absolutely surrealist ! In summary, Tesla washed their hands for an issue they created. The car is now at my place with a flat tyre. I have lost the full day trying to find a solution for a problem I didn’t create. In the meantime I paid 800 euros for a service that wasn’t done properly, plus 200 euros in taxis back and forth. I run out of words to describe the ‘amateurism’ of this company. By the way, my car goes officially on sale. Need to get out of this brand asap.
