If you choose a motorboat, you'll return by catamaran, and if you start with a catamaran, you’ll return by boat, giving you the option to enjoy both experiences. Once on board, we’ll head towards the stunning natural pool, located 200-300 meters from the shoreline. Great trip to Saona! If you're looking for something authentic and not crowded with tourists, this is the perfect choice. You'll visit stunning places and enjoy traditional local food. The guide is very entertaining, and the captain is calm and experienced, making the trip feel safe and enjoyable.

Beware of hidden costs; the trip itself is entertaining! - We got the speedboat package for 99 USD per person, which included visiting a bunch of places, swimming in the pool and beaches. The crew put so much effort into keeping this fun and we loved it. - They also had a photographer who charged us 200 USD for the pictures he took along the way. I would suggest taking your own pictures or really negotiating the price down. We had a second excursion today for which we were only charged 30 USD for the photos. Other costs included tip, shopping at the island with some very persuasive sellers. The total ended up being $421, which really was a LOT more than we had expected.

We've booked the catamaran/boat trip to Saona Island. Since there was no website online at that time, we did everything via WhatsApp. The trip via boat to the island and the island itself were nice, as long as there weren't too many people. However, the way back via catamaran was a nightmare for us! The music was so loud we couldn't talk to each other any more and our ears hurt. Most people were very drunk, since Rhum was offered from the beginning. Several times they fall down while dancing. Moreover they did not have control over their drinks in their hands, they spilled it regularly and we were not always able to keep our belongings save from their Rhum-Cola drinks... Unfortunately the tour back took almost as long as the time we had on the island. According to the description of the tour we got via WhatsApp it was not clear at all, that it's a party tour. We would never have booked it! There is another tour, the VIP tour, which is supposed to be more quiet, as it was told us after our trip...

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience on this excursion. We rode horseback through the national park. The horses we were steady and I never felt unsafe. After, we explored Chico cave where we were able to see many bats and stalagmites hanging all around and then take a dip in the cold cenote area below. They didn't tell us to bring bathing suits so I would recommend you do so if you are doing the cave portion. The guide was friendly and they have someone who will take pictures of you throughout the excursion for purchase. I included some of those photos. Great day! My 14 year old really enjoyed it as well!

Incredible trip with Captain Coco Ecotours, Roland (Captain Coco) and his team made our trip an unique experience that I hope I can repeat very soon. He really knows the country and showed us the unique beaches we were willing to visiting. He suggested some other excursions and I must say that they were all incredible and we had a lot of fun. They are very well organized, know everybody, know all places tourists want to visit and also secret places where you will never find a tourist. If you want to visit Dominican Republic Captain Coco Ecotours is definetly the best option.
