Great place to watch wrestling. If you don’t speak Turkish it might be a bit of a challenge for you as not many people speak English. If you’re going to the final/championship wrestling match it would be wise to secure tickets prior to going. I traveled across the world for this event and did not get tickets before hand… it proved as a challenge as I had to speak to multiple people to get into the arena. (The website for Kirkpinar is all in Turkish fyi). Lots of parking but a lot of people simply walk from the center of town which is what I did. It took about 35 minutes. Several food stands and carnival rides. Bring cash.

The event was amazing. All the food stands are out of the stadium, but cheap and tasty food.

It was really fascinating. At the wrestling season, it has a festival which means a lot for Turks and Edirne people. It is a bit crowded when festival goes on but except this season, it is completely empty. But you should definitely see this place in the season of oil wrestling. Try to bring your food and drinks by yourself because it may cost too much than it costs in normal life.
