ON POINT and learned a whole bunch more. The cool thing about our experience was that there was a woman FROM Spain who could attest the culture of the Spanish influence here. I loved that David was so keen on both modern Jazz and the original jazz influences. So inspirational, and definitely MADE this trip special. I want to read that book when you finish it. We will be in touch David!
If I remember correctly our driver/guide was Brian? Picked us up from The Quisby on 10/27. He had a great laugh and great jokes. Could tell he was passionate about educating folks on New Orleans history. We learned a lot on our long ride. Our guided tour at Whitney Plantation ran over a bit and he was accommodating in picking us up a bit later 🙏🏾 will be booking with Crescent City Tours again on my next trip
We booked the tour with pickup from hotel. A group of 6 of us went, touring 2 plantations. The Whitney and the Oak Alley plantations. We were picked up promptly and had Bam Bam as our driver. He gave us much information during the 45min trip regarding the plantations. At the Whitney plantation you were basically on your own touring a numbered trail with a hand device explaining each landmark. This lasted 2 hours. We were then bused to the Oak Alley plantation here they had a cafe/restaurant to get something to eat for lunch. They had a timed guided tour of the plantation which lasted about 45 min. Your transport contacts you to bring you back to your hotel. It was very interesting and would recommend to do it once. I would highly recommend Crescent City Tours for your excursion.
