Wow! Took the AIARE Level One course with Max from January 1/23 - 1/25. I went in with high expectations and all of them were exceeded in every way. Max was thorough, knowledgeable, experienced, and FUN. This class established the perfect balance between learning a lot and enjoying the experience. I feel I have a solid foundation to continue developing the necessary knowledge and skills that enable safer navigation through avalanche terrain. Can't recommend this class more. Would give it 10 stars if I could.

We had a great experience in the AIARE level 1 course with Alpine to the Max. Our instructor (Max) was extremely knowledgeable about snow and snow safety, and he was engaging and fun to learn from. Our group had the opportunity to discuss and learn about avalanche risk at different elevations, and it was fun to ski out at the end of the field days with an expert guide!

I took the AIARE 1 course with Max and loved it! Max was super knowledgeable and created a learning environment where I felt confident asking questions and trying new things. Max went above and beyond providing the basic information and helped us apply what we were learning to real life scenarios. Highly recommend!!!

I took an avalanche course with Max, and not only is he at the highest levels of skills and credentials in all aspects of mountain guiding, he is very passionate about teaching and providing a great all around experience. I really appreciated Max's ability to tailor the experience to the group and really put in the effort to impart as much wisdom as possible and empower us to become decision makers in the mountains.

This AIARE 1 exceeded my expectations! We had extra time in the classroom before our field days and that helped prepare myself and my group for everything we needed to know before going out! I was a little nervous about taking this course, but Max, Eric, and Will were phenomenal instructors - knowledgeable about the content and very approachable for questions and building a supportive, safe learning environment. I highly recommend this class to anyone who is considering it and have fully recommended it to my friends! I would use Alpine to the Max again for any of my guiding needs!
