What a great adventure. Hakan was marvelous guide. He was very thorough and both he and the driver were professional and very friendly. Hakan is a specialist in Ephesus and there is much to see. They picked me up at my hotel, arrived about 10 minutes early. The trip was very flexible, which was an advantage of having a private tour and even though it cost more than a larger group tour (which aren't even available right now in Turkey), it was very nice to go where you want when you want, being able to linger a little longer in places you like and being able to breeze through those you aren't as interested in. Hakan was very knowledgeable about Ephesus and as a local, also able to provide much color about the culture and surrounding area, where he lives. You will notice a lot of positive reviews about this tour company online, and they are well deserved. I would highly recommend them. I am visiting during COVID and while Turkey is in lockdown, and even with that, they made the trip easy and enjoyable. I plan on using them again for a trip to Miletus.

We booked the tour online with Gizem. The guided tour exceeded all our expectations. The tour guide was very professional and his knowledge of the places we visited and of the local customs were far greater than we could have imagined. The vehicle was also very comfortable and the driver very friendly and professional. All the pick-ups and airport transfer were done on time. I highly recommend this company to anyone who is planning on visiting Ephesus or Pamukkale.

Very professional, fun day. Best of Ephesus Tours was one of the highlights of our trip. Everything from booking communications to knowledge and professionalism of the company and guide were terrific. SO much better than the large tours - we had a personalized experience and a great day.

We spent a couple weeks in Turkey last year for our daughter's wedding in Izmir. While there, we booked this tour of Ephesus. Not knowing what to expect, we ended up being very pleased. A small van showed up at our hotel 15 minutes early with our English speaking guide. We drove straight to Ephesus, arriving early when they opened for the morning. It was a VERY hot day, as it usually is in August, so it was smart to go early. The van was clean and pretty new, with air conditioning. The van driver spoke zero English, so good thing the guide spoke perfect English and Turkish! Our guide walked us through the ruins, explaining the important parts. He left us when we got to the terrace houses, so we did that piece on our own. After the Ephesus tour, our guide asked if we wanted lunch at the normal spot or if we wanted to try a local, all Turkish food, place. We picked the local Turkish food for the experience. While I'm not a fan of some of the Turkish dishes, I was glad we tried it. We also stopped at this small shopping place, which I really didn't like that much. I guess is is popular with the tourist crowd but I felt like the tour companies had a deal to feed tourist into this small town for shopping trinkets. This is the reason I rated 4 instead of 5. This part can be skipped unless you want to buy typical tourist type junk. Then, back to the Hotel. Here is what I think are the main points for an American thinking about this tour company. They made us feel safe in a country that is kind of "uneasy" right now for Americans. Everything was as billed, and there were no attempts to charge extra or find ways to sneak into your wallet. If I ever went back, and wanted to show Ephesus to friends, I'd book these guys again. I like places that turn out as billed on the internet. Here, you will get a very good, safe and well guided visit to the ruins with a good guide, for a reasonable price. When we were there, all the cruise ships had just stopped coming into port so the Ephesus tour business was really hurting. We found Turkey very safe, and were treated very good by everyone there. I hope things get better so more Americans get to see the wonderful country.
