On our latest trip to Vienna , as an equestrian I decided to splurge on a 40 minute private carriage ride with the Fiaker Paul by booking in advance online to assure availability, and here’s my experience; I would definitely recommend this Fiaker as they are vetted to provide carriage services and have clear and public documentation of their exemplary care for their horses! Our driver was very kind and provided very helpful and informative insights in our first language (Slovak) which was very nice to see! The horses were in great condition, and were very tame and sweet!🥰 However just to make things easier, I recommend doing a “walk in” option, unless it’s a huge holiday season, think Christmas, Easter, new year, etc!
We booked Vienna: Secrets of the Fiaker & Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride through Get Your Guide. We weren't sure exactly what to expect but we thought it looked like fun and would be better than just riding around the town center. We were surely correct. Quite a fun and interesting experience. Meeting at the stables first thing in the morning as the horses were being prepared for their day. A tour of the facility and a lesson on the history of the fiaker before we took a nice long ride into town. Great opportunity for lots of pictures!
