Your guide will meet you at the Kusadasi port, holding a sign with your name, and from there you will be driven directly to the tour sites. The first stop is ancient Ephesus, widely regarded as the best-preserved classical city in the eastern Mediterranean and the largest open-air museum in Turkey. Here, you can explore the Great Theatre, which once held 25,000 spectators and is famous as the site where St. Paul preached and gladiators fought. Another highlight is the Library of Celsus, built between 115 and 125, whose beautifully restored façade is one of the most photographed landmarks in the city. During your visit, you may also see the Odeon, Fountain of Trajan, Temple of Hadrian, Scholastica Baths, Marble Road, the agora, and the Temple of Domitian, each offering a glimpse into the grandeur of ancient life in Ephesus. My husband and I recently hired Ephesus Port Tours for a personal tour of Ephesus and the surrounding region. Our tour guide, Hakan, was amazing and showed us an absolutely fabulous day. We saw all of the sites listed in the tour description, but he also took us to the countryside where we experienced a fascinating tour of a rural rug factory and learned how Turkish carpets are made. (It was a no-pressure to buy tour and super interesting and enjoyable.) Next to the factory we enjoyed the most amazing and HUGE spread of Turkish food at the factory restaurant for only $10 per person. Hakan was very knowledgeable and friendly and was able to answer our many questions about the ancient city of Ephesus, the biblical connections, etc. This was one of 5 stops we made during a Mediterranean cruise and was, for me, a big highlight of the trip in large part thanks to Hakan and Ephesus Port Tours. I strongly recommend them!

Our guide Banu and Selo our driver were excellent! We customized a private tour for 13 people (teens to grandparents) visiting Ephesus, Terrace Houses, House of Virgin Mary, St. john Basilica, and lunch at a great spot our tour guide took us. We were able to hit all the locations and not feel rushed. I originally emailed them directly to request the type of tour I wanted. Elif was very good to work with and answered emails in a timely manner. While some of my group wanted to see how rugs were made, this is a stop I would have skipped. It made for making it back to the port a little stressful. That said, the day was perfect and everyone in our group enjoyed it very much!

Our tour guide Dilek was amazing! She was very flexible with us and answered all of our questions. She and the driver arrive at our Airbnb in Izmir on time. The van was very clean and new with hand sanitizer available. Dilek was very knowledgeable on all the history of the sites. She made very good food recommendations for us to try. We (six of us) were met on time in a new clean van and went on our wonderful day trip a private Ephesus tour. We were given information prior to booking so we could pick what we wanted to see and do. Even on the day of the trip we could still make some changes. It was a wonderful day we will always remember and we felt very safe and well cared for all day long.
