Begin your day at Coyote Adventures with a visit to San Isidro Roaguía, where a picnic-style breakfast will prepare you for an immersive journey into Oaxaca’s natural and cultural wonders. At Hierve el Agua, participate in a traditional Pachamama ceremony, honoring Mother Earth in the spirit of the Zapotec, Mixe, and Mixtec communities. Following this heartfelt ritual, embark on a hike along the trail to admire the breathtaking petrified waterfalls, one of only two in the world, while your guide shares the local legends and historical stories tied to this sacred site. Enjoy free time to relax in the refreshing mineral waters and take in the stunning vistas before continuing along a secluded path to Las Salinas, a hidden oasis where you can reflect, connect with nature, and rejuvenate in the tranquil surroundings. The adventure concludes in the village of Teotitlán del Valle, celebrated for its rich Zapotec weaving traditions. Explore cultural landmarks such as the Church of San Juan Bautista, built upon an ancient Zapotec temple, and wander through the vibrant local market offering crafts, fresh produce, and traditional foods. Experience an authentic visit with a local collaborator, sampling homemade dishes while learning the intricate processes of Zapotec textile artistry passed down through generations. Relish the flavors of Oaxaca, including their renowned homemade mole, while appreciating the dedication and heritage that have preserved these traditions for centuries.

Wonderfully refreshing waters, though a bit chilly, don't skip the swim! The mineral water is great for your skin. There are only two place in the world with petrified waterfalls, but this is the only one that has not dried up. The views are wonderful. There is also a hike to the largest waterfall, moderate difficulty.

This place is absolutely out of this world. If you travel to Oaxaca, you have to come here. The scenery is unreal and feels completely untouched. It is one of those places that makes you stop and just take everything in. The views are breathtaking and easily one of the most beautiful natural landscapes you will ever see. You can actually get into the natural pools and swim. The water was freezing when we visited, so we skipped it, but on a warmer day it is probably an incredible experience. Even without swimming, just being there and seeing it in person is worth the trip. Pictures honestly do not do it justice. Wear comfortable clothes and good shoes, and be very careful near the water since the rocks can be slippery. I strongly recommend booking a good tour and going with a group, as it is a long drive from the city and much easier and safer with organized transportation. This is one of those places you will remember for the rest of your life.

Very impressive! Definitely recommend coming here when staying in the area. I did a half-day tour from Oaxaca. Might be the easiest option if you don't have a car. Half a day was enough as well. There's a bit of a walk but it's certainly doable. I'd say we we're walking (and stopping to take photos) for about an hour. Some parts were a bit slippery but it was doable. The pools on the top are man-made and the water is quite cold. You can swim in them. There's rooms to change clothes (free of charge), showers and toilets (not sure, I think 20 and 10 pesos). There are also lots of places to eat nearby .

Absolutely beautiful! This place is amazing, breathtaking views, if you want to see all is about 2k walk, try to get someone to guide you, they are local and they know the good places to take great pictures, Francisco help us and I am sure we couldn’t enjoy this place as much without him, the walk is not easy, comfortable shoes is sunscreen is a must! If you are planning on getting in the pools be prepared for room temperature water.

The vistas presented before you are truly breathtaking and a marvel to behold. Taking the time to appreciate the scenery will create lasting memories for you. Encountering one of the 2 Patricia waterfalls in the world. I highly recommend taking a tour, which offers a convenient and informative way to explore the remarkable sights. Doing so can enhance your overall experience, ensuring you don't miss any of the hidden gems. Ultimately, experiencing these views is an unforgettable experience.
