Very easy to take off into the water and easy to get off - seamless experience for newbies. The rental company is right at the south launch of monksville reservoir. They are extremely easy to work with. The reservoir itself is a lot of fun. Highly recommend for people of all levels.

Highly recommend making a reservation. Very crowded on weekends and the police have several of the entrances closed due to lots being full. The rental experience was average - very spacious area to paddle around. The water definitely has a noticeable smell compared to other lakes.

A Stand-Up Paddleboard lesson with Chaz at Monksville Reservoir was taken. Despite the heavy rain, the experience was excellent, and the reservoir provided a beautiful and tranquil setting for the activity. There are 2 porta potties that need cleaning.

A charming little spot with reasonable rates compared to other places. It’s low-key and not too crowded — nothing fancy, but that’s part of the charm. It’s run by friendly high schoolers, so don’t expect top-of-the-line gear or facilities. The lake itself is quiet and beautiful, and we really enjoyed the experience.
