The house is a Victoria Era place. Wendy and Bonsall are very nice and accommodating.

I loved staying at this bed and breakfast. The couple couldn't be any sweeter! Wendy is a woman of knowledge when it comes to the history of the house, the train, and the town. She's also an incredible cook and has a great cookbook, very limited edition, if you're lucky enough to get one (which I definitely did and she personalized it). I really enjoyed the room we stayed in, and her attention to detail in each room truly brings you back in time as each room is well decorated with incredible antique pieces. She has a little library upstairs filled with books about their travels as a couple, about the history of the town and its people, and biographies of very famous people. You'll be greeted with delicious chocolates and cookies and the rooms are very clean. We got a great night's rest as the bed and pillows were very comfortable. If you stay for a meal you'll be treated like family and get to enjoy one of the delicious recipes from her cookbook. We had the Santa Fe breakfast, absolutely delicious and filling, great choice if you like a protein packed and flavorful start to your day. Great location in town, too. Even though it's right across the train depot, it is a nice and quiet place to relax. I appreciated the experience of sharing their space and would choose to stay at this bed and breakfast again.

We enjoyed our stay, we were there for a weekend of birthday celebrations that included riding the Cumbres Toltec Train. Miss Wendy was a graceous host. The rooms we clean and the food was great. Definately recommend the Parlor Car Bed and Breakfast.

We have stayed at this charming Bed and Breakfast several times because the hosts are friendly and welcoming. This is our go-to spot if we are near the area, because we know we can expect a nice, clean, comfortable room and an amazingly delicious breakfast. They are located almost directly across from the Train Depot, so if you plan to ride the train, take advantage of an opportunity to spend the night here. You will NOT be disappointed!
