Beautiful harbour, great choice of restaurants, cafes, and the freshest fish you can get!, ice cream kiosks. A good selection of small independent shops. Boat trips are excellent value for money as well as fishing boat trips. There are various events throughout the year.......Its just a lovely place to visit!!!🌞🌊🌞
We love Mevagissey it is small, with stunning views and friendly locals. It has two beaches in the harbour area the sandy ones is for humans only and the one by the museum is an area where dogs and humans can go for a paddle. Another nice little stone beach with shallowish waters is on the left side but there are rocks which surrounds the area and a railed walkways goes down to it off the promenade. If you like a sandy beach away from the harbour you will need to walk towards Pentewan and you will find a hidden beach once the tide is out. Fresh produce is sold in a little shop unit on the way back to the car park. If you like to buy fresh fish you can find a stall in the harbour or just have a bite to eat while looking into the ever changing harbour. Quite a few boats can take you on trips around the coast which we tried twice so far or a safari trip out to see the dolphins but these ones usually have to be booked in advance. Mevagissey also has a large car park where you can park all day or just a few hours. If you have a disability badge you will be given one of 25 reserved spaces to park. Unsure if that is only in summer. Mevagissey is definitely a place worth visiting.
Lovely quaint village. Harbour well maintained. Visited on a Monday evening when the choir was singing. Tasty fish and chips on the harbour front from a small van.
