We did the two-day kayak trip and had a great time, with incredible views of the fjords and good equipment. The food was good and we had plenty of rest stops. Our guide was pretty grumpy, which we found quite amusing by the end, but it would have been nice to have had some conversation about the history/geography of the area etc., especially as we heard this is what the other groups experienced from their guides. We warmed to him, but he was quite abrupt/rude with us when we arrived (on time) saying the whole group had been waiting for us and hurrying us with selecting our shoes/jackets etc. - we then didn't leave for another hour, so no idea what that was all about. Anyway, we had a good time and I would recommend the experience - perhaps bring your own pillow (they don't provide one) and a comfier ground mat if you're not good with camping!
I did the day long kayaking tour as a solo traveler. My only regret was doing this early in my stay as nothing compared to it. From the start, we were outfitted head to toe in wetsuits, booties, jackets, life vests, phone cases and dry bags! A beautiful meal was prepared over an open fire. Many thanks to our kind, funny, good-hearted guide, Callum, who took excellent care of us all day. The whole adventure was magical and fun. I would love to do one of their longer trips next round if I’m ever lucky enough to return. This will be the highlight of your trip.
Incredible 4 days spent kayaking along the fjords. Well run tour and Mike was great as well. Hike is a bit hard so I’d say definitely bring some walking poles.
