This was our second time to the Three Sisters Visitors Center to see manatees. The first time we didn’t see any. Wow was this time different. We took the shuttle to the boardwalk and immediately saw a mother with babe swimming in the beautiful spring. We walked around the boardwalk and saw at least 75 swimming effortlessly in the lovely park. The boardwalks are beautiful and are positioned perfectly to view without being bothersome to the manatees. We recommend going when the weather is a bit cooler as they seem to congregate here in the warm water when the air is cold. That was the only difference between our two visits.

De tour was heel leuk, we hadden een ervaren en leuke gids, hij wist precies waar de manatees waren en liet ons daar ook met ze zwemmen. Gaf goede instructies en was behulpzaam. Ik had alleen nog wel graag naar de Three Sisters springs willen gaan, aan het einde leek het een beetje gehaast maar we waren wel 20 min eerder terug.

Three Sister Springs: totally crowded, even in the off-season, kids are jumping around everywhere and being loud. No manatees seen, which is understandable with all the noise. The tour provider is great. The tour was super relaxed in the small group. They take pictures that you can buy afterwards for $37. I can only recommend this provider if you want to do guided tours. You can also rent a kayak and go there yourself. All in all, a good thing.
