TEA:

Beautiful walk. Took me just under an hour to get from PDC to Puerto Calero and I got the water taxi back. Well established dirt path and quite busy. Quite easy to walk on but I wouldn't recommend for anyone with mobility issues/disabled.

We walked this route from puerto del carmen and it is beautiful. It is a long walk and steep in areas. The first part of the walk is pathed and turns to a dirt track so it is not recommend for anyone disabled. It is a very quiet and undisturbed area, so definitely treat it with absolute respect. There are areas to park and a few stairways down to the water. The path is along the top of a high, sheer cliff. So be very careful. Lots of beautiful gardens and houses along the route and some stunning snorkelling spots. I definitely recommend this walk for anyone looking to spend a few hours in tranquil peace away from the hustle and bustle of the main town. Plenty of buses to and from the next town over.
Rob

Lovely walk from Puerto del Carmen to Puerto calero. Fantastic views along the coast of the sea with all it's different colours of blues and greens. The coastline is beautiful with all the natural lava rocks creating little coves and cliff tops with views you would only see in the canary islands. Well worth the walk we got the water bus back at a cost of 11 euros each which shows the coastline again in a different prospective.
Neil

It's a great walk in either direction, mixture of laid paths but mostly dirt paths. Not really challenging but watch your footing at staircase built into cliff face, best not to wear flip flops.

Very long walk, approximately 5km with gorgeous views. If you are waiting for your plane - go to walk on this road, very high above the sea level, there are benches where you can rest and enjoy the views and take amazing pictures. There will be stairs.
