After doing much research on the best place to reserve sunrise snorkeling, we chose Kai Kanai and did not regret it. They leave promptly very early in the morning to get a head start before other tours, serve yummy pineapple and cinnamon rolls, and add it when necessary. We went to Molokini crater and Turtle town. This was a great experience and we got great photos and videos underwater (I used an old iPhone in a clear, locked, waterproof case).
Kai Kanani was fabulous! We did the sunrise deluxe tour and everything was amazing. All of the staff were very responsive from questions/emails before the trip, to the hotel pick up, to the day of. This was our first time snorkeling and I’m so glad it was with them, they made it enjoyable, easy, and I felt safe the entire time. We rented a go-pro and they took the time to explain how it works, and you get the SD card to take home afterwards. The crater was amazing as far as the clarity of the water and how far you can see. It was well worth getting up early to be out there by ourselves. It was such a fun and relaxing time. The food was really good too! Please tell all the staff and crew thank you for such an amazing experience!
Our snorkel tour with Kai Kanani Sailing was absolutely amazing! The entire experience was so well organized — from check-in to sailing, everything ran smoothly. The crew was incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional, making sure everyone felt comfortable and safe throughout the trip. The snorkeling itself was breathtaking — crystal-clear water, vibrant marine life, and beautiful views all around. We truly appreciated the crew’s attention to detail and the care they showed for each guest. We can’t wait to book another tour with Kai Kanani on our next visit to Maui! Amazing experience being first to the Molokini Crater with fresh cinnamon rolls on the way out, a proper breakfast on the way to Makena Bay, and finishing the morning with Mimosas and Bloody Marys. Molokini is just incredible for snorkeling or diving. The visibility is unreal and the abundance of sea life off the charts. Don’t miss this one.
We did the sunrise deluxe snorkel. It was fantastic! Left at 615 am, snorkeled then swam with sea turtles. Turtles came up close but had to stay ten feet away. Also had great cinnamon rolls, eggs, sausage and potatoes for breakfast. Then any drink/cocktail you wanted. Crew was great and very friendly and informative. One of the deckhands gave us good tips for hikes and places to eat around the island. Would do it again in a heartbeat!
