We booked a private tour of the Prado Museum with Madrid Expert, and it was truly the highlight of our trip. Our guide, Laeticia, was absolutely wonderful—an expert in art and architecture, incredibly knowledgeable, and warm. She tailored the tour just for us, striking the perfect balance between depth and fun, making it engaging for both adults and younger ones. Over the course of 1.5 hours, she shared her favorite works and brought the museum to life with her insights and storytelling. We chose the 10am slot, which I highly recommend, as the museum gets very busy later in the day. We’re already planning to book another tour with Laeticia for our next visit—this time at the Reina Sofía to hear her take on Picasso’s work. Highly recommend the private tour with her!
Our guide around the Prado Museum was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable, interesting and fun. 2 hours passed in a flash and we learned so much. We will definitely book with Madrid Expert again.
Madrid Expert found a wonderful guide for my grandchildren on their last day in Madrid before returning home. A last minute booking with Leti turned out to be a fun and engaging experience for them on their first visit to an art museum. For 1 1/2 hours, Leti showed them not only the famous paintings by Goya, Velazquez and El Greco, but she showed them some paintings from other artists whose paintings influenced these painters. With the kids’ attention span uppermost in her mind, she glided through the first floor eliciting opinions from the children as they saw the differences or similarities in painting styles. I highly recommend Madrid Expert and Leti if you want to have fun (adults too!) roaming the Prado.
We took the all-day Madrid tour which included skip the line access to the royal palace and Prado Museum. Hector our guide was wonderful. He did an expert job explaining Spanish history with a focus on the capital city. He helped us explore both the palace and the Prado. We had two teen agers with us, and even they enjoyed the entire tour. Hard to do for an art museum. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you have teens in tow.
